We are proud to announce that Brian Baker has been named as R-Plus Doors Regional Sales Manager.

Brian will be responsible for the sales leadership in the States of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan.

Most know Brian Baker as an R-Plus Doors independent sales representative, but they may not know the breadth of his experience in the industry.

After a childhood in New Mexico, Brian moved to Brooklyn, New York. There, he evolved into an expert in material handling management. At one point, Brian managed a half-million square foot facility. Then he made a career move into the cooler and freezer door business with well-known manufacturers’ rep Ron Schwerman.

Under Ron’s tutelage, Brian built a 20-year career in walk-in cooler and freezer doors. Included in the wide variety of projects that Brian worked on are:

  • an environmental chamber for lung tissue storage
  • the new Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art renovation for temperature control on fine art
  • 8 doors for preservation of displays Chicago Natural History Museum (Field Museum)
  • the Omaha Zoo penguin enclosure

As a professional in the field, Brian returns his knowledge to the community by lecturing throughout his region on air sealing technologies. He also works with state agencies to explain the physics of air-sealing and best methods to achieve and maintain air-sealed environments.

Volunteerism is a practice Brian has maintained over the years. One of Brian’s first volunteer jobs was with Rio Grande Zoo is Albuquerque, which means Brian has come full circle from the Zoo in Albuquerque to penguin enclosure doors in Omaha.

Give Brian a call the next time you want to talk about walk-in cooler and freezer doors because he has a wealth of experience to share.
